How it works

Scope and limits
- Shows character formatting (bold, italic, underline, color, size), headings, numbered and bulleted lists, tables (merged cells, borders, shading), images, footnotes and endnotes, links, and text in text boxes.
- Page layout and margins, headers and footers, columns, shapes, charts, SmartArt, tracked-change marks and comments are not shown. Line and page breaks may differ from the original.
- Fonts fall back to those on your device, so the look can differ. EMF, WMF and TIFF images are shown as placeholders.
- Only web (https) and mail links are clickable. Scripts and macros in the document never run.
- Password-protected documents and the legacy .doc format cannot be opened, nor can files over 200 MB.

Is my Word file uploaded?
No. Everything stays in this browser.

This viewer flows the text rather than laying out exact pages. For exact pages, save as PDF in Word and open it in the PDF viewer.
Can I open .doc files?
No. Save the file as .docx in Word first.
